Second Posting

I think blogging is a great way to interact with people from all over the world. It gives the students that are less likely to voice their opinion in a classroom a chance to have a written voice.  It is a great way to inform the students of what to look forward to in a class, as well as to get input from other students to see what they thought about the class.  It's also way to get information on your teaching skills so you can change or twist anything that might needed to be twisted.  You can also interact with teachers from all over the world and see if they have any ideas that could be helpful to you.  It truly depends on what subject you teach I believe, that in certain cases it can be rather beneficial. It not only can be a helpful resource for your class but it can help prepare the students for what they might be faced with in the future. Someday the internet might be the only way of getting news.

There are many ways that I can utilize the ideas from chapter 6 in my curriculum and in my class room. One of these ways being to put there syllabus and there research assignments on the blog this will give them a chance to utilize and practice there technology skills as well as study and do work for my class, and if they do it at home maybe they can get there family involved and help them with the blogging world.  The internet all together is a form of society I guess you could say and it's made up of all people from around the world without a vehicle, this way they can interact with one another and learn together.  It also enables a broader learning community.  When communities are form it supports students to actively see learning as a major goal that they must conquer.  My cirriculum is agriculture, alot of what i do is hands-on, but before they get to perform hands-on tasks I like them to know about the safety precautions to take and about the materials that they will be using. This being noted I could put up besights that informs them of this and they could go and look at it as often as they would like and if they have any questions they could post it and this would give the students a chance to interact with each other in a perfessional way and they could learn from each other as well as they could give me ideas on what i could do different to make it a more effective class.  This will also give the students a chance to explore and examine any material that i was not able to cover in class.  Some students are shy and they don't particularly talking in front of a big crowd, well with online discussion they are able to participate and they can have a written voice.
